Maenam rocks, sings blues

INTERNATIONAL performing artists and musicians gathered on March 8 to perform in the concert called “Rock and Blues Festival.” Hosted by the Tropical Garden Hotel and Resort, formerly Roy Roy, the concert party was organized by Hannes Austria, owner of the Morning Glory Resort, and was joined by various establishments located at Maenam, in cooperation with the ever-hospitable owner-manager of the hosting hotel and resort, Claudio Schibli.

The objective of the event was to improve and build good relationships among owners of hotels, resorts, restaurants, bars and other establishments.

Hot Stone Grill-specialist, the Tropical Garden Hotel’s restaurant, served international steak in sizzling plate and regular menu during the concert party, but prepared for a larger number of guests that night.

The festival started at 2 p.m. with the Pool Chill-out program served with drinks while having fun in the swimming pool. At 5 p.m., food stalls served a variety of foods like pizza, Swiss sausages and Thai specialties.

Guests enjoyed listening to rock, blues and other music genres played by different performing international bands including The Real Deal, Bob Color, Jaap from the Golden Earring, Martin or Little Willie and Meredith.

The event host offered hangover rooms of 50 percent for the guests who were too intoxicated to drive back to their homes.

The organizer intends to hold the concert party regularly every Sunday at Tropical Garden Lounge.

He invites  musician to jam and perform good-quality entertainment in the future concert parties for fun and for the community growth of Maenam. Establishments situated in other areas are also welcome to join the concert project to bring fun  not just to the visiting tourists and residents but also to the owners of business establishments.
